Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic a private, family graveside service for Marjory & Bill Humphries will take place. After Marjory and Bill’s retirement they settled into the roles of grandparents and loving partners celebrating 58 years of marriage. So in lieu of flowers please enjoy some of their favourite things; have a large family dinner, share memories and laughs, go out for ice cream, take a walk or drive in the brilliant colours of the autumn trees; cheer on your family at their sporting events. After attending normal school in Stratford, Marjory began her teaching career at Langside SS#8, a one room school house. She then moved to Walton to teach at the Walton School, SS#11. She met Bill while boarding at his parent’s house, and they were married in 1955. While raising her family she was ‘on call’ to help at the family general store, finishing her career as Postmaster in Walton. One of Marjory’s passions was the Walton Women’s Institute. Marjory joined the Walton WI in 1956 (the year it was formed) and served as FWIO Board Director from 1991-1993.
