Violet Shaw

Violet (Rae) Shaw of Caressant Care, Harriston, passed away at Palmerston & District Hospital on Sunday, December 29th, 2013 in her 86th year. Violet was the beloved mother of Frederick Pike and Catherine of Jocko Point Lake Nippissing, James Shaw and Betty Hewitt of Wingham, Brian Shaw and Katalin Kajtor of Guelph, and Richard Shaw and Verna Haggar of Booth's Harbour. Also loved by her grandchildren Randy, Jason, Crystal, Alicia, Brittany, Mark, Carrie, Selena and George, her 15 great grandchildren, her sisters Madeline, Ritha and Georgina along with several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mildred, brother John, granddaughter Laura Annette Shaw and sisters Myrtle, Doris and Shirley. A private service for family and close friends will be conduced at the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home on Friday, January 3rd officiated by Reverend Jeff Hawkins. Spring interment to take place in Wroxeter Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
