Robert Edgar

Robert Alexander Edgar of Gorrie, passed away on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Born in Gorrie on May 17th, 1933, Bob was in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Kathy (Ford) Edgar. Dear father of Dale Edgar and wife Linda and Dianne Hiltz and husband Danny all of Gorrie. Also loved by his grandchildren Jeremy and Jason Hiltz and Ansley and Caitlin Edgar, his brother John Edgar and wife Mary of Georgetown, and his in laws Phyllis and Glenn McMichael, Marguerite and Bill Murphy and Joyce and Sandy Rizzo. Predeceased by his parents Sandy and Irene and granddaughter Alyson. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted from Gorrie United Church on Thursday, January 24th at 2 PM with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Gorrie Cemetery in the spring. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Gorrie United Church or the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation.
