Max Oldfield

Max Oldfield of Brussels passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, April 1st, 2010 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Madill) Oldfield. Max will be sadly missed by his dear friend Audrey Chambers of Wroxeter, his children Anne Rytwinski and her husband Cecil of Almonte and Jim Oldfield and his wife Darlene of Brussels. Dear brother of Miriam Blue of Bath and Vivian Thompson and husband Gerry of Brampton. Also loved by his grandchildren Stephen (Vanessa), Brian (Kayla), Nina, Adam, and Andrew. Predeceased by his brother Jack. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, 401 Albert Street, Brussels. The funeral service will be conducted from Brussels United Church on Monday, April 5 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation. Masonic Service under the auspices of St. John's Lodge No. 284 A.F. & A. M. and a Legion Service under the auspices of Brussels Legion No. 218 RCL will be conducted from the funeral home beginning Sunday at 6:45 PM
