Mabel Willis

Mabel (McWhirter) Willis of Brussels passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Stalwart, Saskatchewan on October 30th, 1933, Mabel was in her 79th year. Mabel was the beloved wife of the late Archie Willis and will be sadly missed by her children Sharon and Kelly Dalton of Londesborough, Wayne and Lucy Willis of Morinville, Alberta, Dianne and Paul McCallum of Walton and Donna and Stan McClure of Walton. Dear sister of George and Bernice McWhirter, Edna Laidlaw, Elsie Olson, and Evelyn and George Kerr all of Saskatchewan. Dear sister in law of Charlie Shaw of Blyth and Jack Willis of Burlington. Loving grandmother of Jamie and Jen, Jason, Kelly-Ann and Adam, Cindy and Paul, Colleen and Scott, Ken and Meaghan, Tina, Trisha and Scott and Rob and Amanda great grandmother of Lorren, Alaina, Jake, Jaxon, Linkin, Niamh and Colin. Predeceased by her parents William and Grace, sisters Ellen, Isabel and Pat, and brothers Jack, Bill, Alvin, Bobby and Andy. A Legion Service will be conducted at 6:45 PM Wednesday. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 20th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sandra Cable officiating. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation of Brussels United Church.
