Lloyd Nickel

Lloyd Nickel of Fordwich passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus on Saturday, March 31st, 2012. Born in Carrick Township on May 5th, 1935, Lloyd was in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Elaine (Hallman). Dear father of Rosemary Gooding of Listowel, Teresa and Gary Self of Calgary, and Wayne and Alyson Nickel of Lakelet. Sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and sister in law Elizabeth. Predeceased by his parents Russels and Helen Nickel, daughter Jacqueline and a great granddaughter. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. A Masonic Service Under the auspices of Fordwich Lodge No. 331 will be conducted from the funeral home Tuesday at 9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated from Trinity Anglican Church, Fordwich on Wednesday, April 4 at 2:00 PM officiated by Reverend Laura Lightfoot. Burial in Fordwich Cemetery, As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
