Lillian Walker

Lillian May "Peg" (Hart) Walker of Wroxeter passed away at Caressent Care Nursing Home, Listowel, on Monday, February 16th, 2009. Born in Toronto on September 15th, 1921, Peg was in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Walker, who predeceased her in 2004. Dear mother of Barbara Mackereth and her husband Tom of Alliston, Dale Payne and her husband Jake of Wroxeter, and Cindy Dewar and her husband Greg of Atwood. Also loved by her 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and daughter in law Carol Fincham of Etobicoke. Peg was one of 16 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hart. Predeceased by her son Richard. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of Schimanski Family Funeral Home, 2050 Victoria Street, Gorrie, Ontario on Thursday, February 19th at 2 PM. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
