John Howard Smith of RR#5 Wingham, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, September 30th, 2012 in is 71st year. John was a longtime employee of Morris Township. John will be sadly missed by his sisters Sandra and Henry Gackstetter of RR#1 Exeter, Joyce and Larry MacGregor of Lucan, Norma Cooper and Mary and Roger Dilworth all of Brussels. Also loved by his step children Brian Peacock and Kimberly Anne Peacock both of Listowel, his 5 step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Ferne, his sister Nancy Warwick and her husband James. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of John's Life will be conducted from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4th at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Les Cook. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
