John McCreery

John Robert �Murray� McCreery of RR#2 Wroxeter passed away on Sunday, July 30th at Wingham & District Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Listowel on May 22nd, 1929, Murray was in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Catherine �Kay� (Callahan) McCreery. Dear brother of Jean Menzies and her husband David of RR#1 Listowel. Dear bother-in-law of Bud Callahan and his wife Phyllis of London. Also loved by his friends Larry & Pat Keffer, Tom & Linda Stevens and Howard & Brenda Turner, his many nieces and nephews and his pet dogs Tucker and Andy. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Agnes McCreery. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the funeral service being held at the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Burial in Molesworth Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Gorrie United Church or to the Wingham & Area Day Centre.
