After a non-complaining, courageous fight with cancer, Jim Ryan went to be with His Lord on Thursday, December 19th in his 85th year.
Beloved husband to Betty for 51 years.
Loving dad to Greg & Trudy Ryan and Maddy & Jeff Miller.
Proud papa to Jacob, Ryan, Marshall Miller and grandpa to Amber Ryan.
Brother to Joan McDonald, Gerry & Anne Ryan, Jack Ryan and Sister Teresa Ryan.
Brother-in-law to Anne McKinnon and Joe & Trudy McKinnon.
Missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by parents Lawrence & Marjorie Ryan, brother Bob (Barb) Ryan and Nelson Ryan, sister-in-law Marianna Ryan and brother-in-law Don McDonald, in-laws Don & Marilyn McKinnon, Madeline McKinnon, Jack McKinnon, Jim McKinnon, mother and father-in-law John and Florence (Poechman) McKinnon.
Jim was a dedicated construction worker for over 60 years, he was a devote catholic and an all-around community man. He loved his family dearly, always protecting with fatherly optimism. He loved his coffee and keeping up with his community. He had a true heart of gold.
Friends and family will be received at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church for visitation on Sunday, December 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the Funeral Mass on Monday, December 23rd from 10 - 11 a.m. Parish Prayers will take place on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. A time of Food and Fellowship will take place at the Four Winds Barns after the service.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, Jim’s family would like you to donate your time and money to being present with a friend or loved one living with cancer whether that is a dinner out or a drive around town.
