Jason Shortreed

Jason William Shortreed of Brussels passed away on Sunday, October 14th, 2012 at Clinton Public Hospital. Born in Clinton on September 1st, 1978, Jason was 34 years old. Jason was the beloved son of Valerie (Rose) and the late Bill Shortreed of RR#1 Walton. Dear brother of Matthew and Julie Shortreed of RR#1 Walton, Bradley Shortreed of Egmondville, and Krista and Adam Verkley of Atwood. Loving Uncle to Connor. Dear grandson of Norma Rose of RR#5 Mitchell. Dear nephew of Rick and Margaret McInroy of Inverhuron, Judy and Warren Beuerman of Egmondville, Wendy Boyd and Mike of Waterloo, Sandra and Bruce Schmidt of Tavistock and Jamie Rose of RR#5 Mitchell. Also loved by his cousins Michael, Melissa and J.C., Joleen and Greg. Predeceased by his grandparents Wilfrid and Muriel Shortreed and Glen Rose. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 19th at 2:00 PM. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Health Foundation, Melville Presbyterian Church or the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario.
