Fritz: James ‘Jim’ Douglas

Suddenly on November 7th, 2018 at his home in his 79th year, Jim Fritz went to be with his beloved wife Barb.

Loving husband to Barb (2017) for 51 years.

Adoring dad to Tim Fritz, Kim & Ron Strome, Steve Fritz and Greg & Jill Fritz.

Proud Grandfather to Emma, Dan, Sarah, Darian, Dustin, Abby, Luke, Raelyn, Meg, Ava and Nate.

Survived by sister Marjorie Brown, brothers Donald (Marie) Fritz, Bryon,Richard Fritz and sister-in-law Marion Uhler.

Predeceased by parents Katherine & Albert Fritz and in-laws Bill & Marie Turnbull, sister-in-law Shirley Turnbull, brother-in-laws Doug Brown, Ron Uhler, sister-in-laws Marilyn Fritz and Jeannine Robillard.

Missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim loved to farm, hunt and fish. He was an avid hockey fan who played himself and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play. He was very proud of his family and appreciated them for the people they had become.

Friends and Family will be received at Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre on Monday, November,12th at 1.00 p.m. for a Celebration of Jim’s Life. A private family interment will follow. A luncheon/reception will begin immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to the Brussels, Morris and Grey Arena Building Renovation Fund or Cystic Fibrosis would be appreciated. Cards of sympathy may be sent to Box 493 Brussels, ON.
