Jack Schwehr

Jack Schwehr of Gorrie passed away suddenly at work on Monday, November 25, 2013. Born in Walkerton on November 3rd, 1953, Jack was in his 61st year. Jack was the beloved husband of Fern (Quelch) and will be sadly missed by his three children Michael and his friend Angie Nesbitt of Kitchener, Rebecca and Jason Henry of Collingwood and Jennifer and Brad Becker of New Hamburg. Loving grandfather of Curtis, Josh, Rachael, Mikayla, Zach and Logan. Also loved by his sister in law Anne Schwehr of Hanover, sister Alice Helwig of London, sister Audrey and Steve Anderson of Thedford, brother Len and Marlene Schwehr of Blind River, sister Gertrude and Foreston Briand of Clinton, sister Virginia and Don Huehn of Lions Head, sister Barb and Ken Durrer of New Hamburg, and brother Doug and Shirley Schwehr of Hanover, sister in law Rose and Harold Dowler of Kitchener, brother in law Jim and Winnie Quelch of Seaforth, sister in law Linda Becker and Bruce Shantz of Kitchener, sister in law Lois McNeil of Calgary, sister in law Shelly Erickson and Doug Gillis of Pontypool. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Lucille, his brother Lorne, brother in laws Ron Helwig and Jack Taylor and nephews Terry and Brian. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home where the memorial service will be held Thursday, November 28 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
