It is with deep sadness that we notify friends and family of Hebo’s passing.
Hebo had a full and happy life with his loving soulmate and wife Marg (2020) of 60 years.
Loving father to Jean (Bill) Bennett, Alan (Dasha) Siertsema, Ken (Dianne) Siertsema, Bruce (Cindy) Siertsema.
Doting grandfather to Blair (Rachel) Bennett, Dominik, Christopher, Alex, Nicholas, Josh, Lilly, Jessica Nethery, Kasey, Amber, Nicole and Tyler.
Great grandpa to Penny and Evie.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, neighbours and friends.
Hebo has always been an invested dairy farmer, from being on the board at Gaylea to trucking dairy products, helping with 4-H, to owning his own dairy farm for 60 years. He was always willing to help out any club in the community especially if his kids were involved. He loved to visit his family and celebrate milestones but not until all the chores had been done.
He played broomball with the 3rd line and loved to go snowmobiling with the Blyth Snow Travelers. He loved to hunt with the gang and to share his knowledge of hunting. He had many hunting dogs and used to snowshoe into the bush just to get a good shot.
A man who contributed much to this world with his farming, his friendship, his neighbourly ways and his love of a good conversation and an easy smile.
A drive by visitation will take place on Saturday June 4th from 10 am -12 pm in front of The Blyth Union Cemetery on Cemetery Road. Please enter the lineup from County Road 25 and exit onto Highway 4. Windows are allowed to be open, please stay in your vehicles, but do share your condolences with a wave or kind word. Funeral Service to take place at the cemetery after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to Melville Presbyterian Church or Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
Cards of sympathy may be sent to Box 340 Brussels, N0G 1H0.
