Erland Thornton

Erland (Gregg) Thornton of RR#2 Gorrie , passed away at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Monday, May 21st, 2007. Born in Howick Township on April 17th, 1929, Erland was in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Bill Thornton. Dear mother Barbara Hayden and husband Murray, Gary Thornton & Linda Fox, Brenda Bunker and husband Tim, Gregg Thornton and Timothy Thornton all of Gorrie, and Margaret Thornton of Toronto. Loving grandmother to Pamela, Cheryl, Todd, Ryan, Katelyn, Curtis, Brandon, Hueston and Kaz. Also loved by her brother George Gregg and his wife Shirley of Toronto. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Thursday, May 24th at 2 PM from Gorrie United Church with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Burial in Gorrie Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Gorrie United Church, the Resident's Council of the Fordwich Village Nursing Home, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
