Dorothy Jacobson of Fordwich passed away peacefully at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Friday, May 2nd, 2014. Born on November 2nd, 1916 in Scott, Saskatchewan, Dorothy was in her 98th year. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Carl John Ingemar Jacobson (1976) and will be sadly missed by her children Gary and Pat Jacobson of Fordwich, Elwood Jacobson of Revelstoke, BC, Vernon and Velma Jacobson of Guelph, Beverly and Bill Demerling of Elmwood, David and Connie Jacobson of Goderich and Kurt and Jen Jacobson of Fordwich. Dorothy was also loved by her grandchildren Kim, Shelley, Shelby, Jeff, Greg, Denise, Michael, Sonia, Steven, Jason, Paul, Crystal, Eric and Axel, her 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Predeceased by her grandson Christopher and daughter in law Becca. Cremation has taken place with her remains to be interred in Fordwich Cemetery.. Dorothy's Life will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13th at 1:00 PM from the Fordwich Hall, 3094 Old Mill Street, Fordwich. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated by the family.
