Mr. Daniel Alexander Pearson

Passed away peacefully on January 11^th, 2023 at the age of 76.

Beloved husband to Mary Jane (Kropf) for 47 years.

Loving Dad to Jana Maddocks & Clark Wallace, Dan & Linda Pearson and Tom Pearson & Linda Sayavongs.

Grandpa to Sasha & Harry Van der Wal, Reece Maddocks & Chloe Rocheleau, Evan, Ryan, and Katelyn Pearson.

GG to Liam & Caleb Van der Wal.

Brother to Scott & Gail Pearson, Steve Pearson and Joan Hatcher.

Brother-in-law to Teri Pearson and Helene Brassard.

Missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by parents Alec & Edna, brothers Jim and Doug Pearson and brother-in-law Barry Hatcher.

Dan was the master of small talk; he could chat to anyone about anything. He was gregarious, optimistic, and well known in his community. Dan was a lifetime member of the Brussels Optimist Club, he loved curling and played baseball at the tri county level. Dan was an avid golfer, a sport he enjoyed playing with his sons, grandsons, and many friends. He was political, working at the Brussels constituency office for 13 years and loved a good discussion about federal politics. Dan was a great at home bartender making caesars and tall rum and cokes. But mostly Dan loved his family, he instilled a level of respect and the notion of work hard-play hard. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids always taking the time to explain and educate, but not forgetting the importance of having fun. Dan was a welcome addition to any gathering and brought many smiles and laughs with him. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality.

As per Dan’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 1-4pm at the Brussels Legion.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada would be appreciated.
