Dan Couenen

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 28^th at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa in his 75^th year.

Loving husband to Mary Anne (Cree) for 47 years.

Proud dad to Jennifer Couenen & Hailey Moskowitz.

Brother to Michel & Alice Couenen.

Missed by many extended family.

Predeceased by brother Eddie Couenen and brother-in-law Donald Cree.

Dan was a passionate and determined man and was proud to achieve whichever goal he set for himself. He was ready to try anything, he attained his pilots license before his driver’s license. He taught his daughter many a trade secret and enjoyed working on handyman projects with her. He wanted to see the world and loved to travel, taking trips with his best friend Mary Anne to southern vacation spots like Cuba and Jamaica to Alaska and Scotland. Dan was a fierce chef; he loved to try new recipes and share them with his family. He adored his pets, enjoying the love and cuddles they gave him. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers or expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
