Alice Marks

April 17, 1945 — October 20, 2024

Brussels

Passed away suddenly on October 20th 2024 at the Highland Apartments in Brussels in her 80th year.

Beloved wife of the Late Dave Marks for 51 years.

Loving Mom to Rosie & Kevin Kellington, Susan & Mike Hendsbee and Sandra & Darrell Weber.

Adoring Grandma to Tori & Brandon, Mitchell & Laura, Logan & Ashley, Victoria, Lisa, Laura & Trevor, Owen & Katie, Mason & Emma and Brock.

Proud GG to Brooks and Chase.

Remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Survived by brothers Jack, Peter and Harry & Connie, sisters and brothers-in-law Millie, Edith, Dorothy and Stanley.

Predeceased by parents Gerrit & Marie Verbeek, and brother Hans Verbeek.

Alice was very well known in her community. She was a member of Melville Presbyterian Church for many years. She was actively involved in Soup and More, the Brussels Coffee/Birthday Ladies, the Friday night supper ladies, the Melville church choir, and catered many events for Melville.

Alice was an avid televised sports enthusiast she loved to watch the Jays, the Leafs and Ladies Curling. She was competitive at cards and liked to win.

Alice was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandkids and great grandkids and supported all their interests. Alice was a very social person; she loved to visit and chat with everyone over a caesar. Alice liked her technology and learned how to excel at being the messenger of Facebook posts/pictures.

She really enjoyed her independence in her short time at the Highland Apartments at Huronlea. We will miss her kind and pleasant personality and knowing smile.

Friends and family will be received at Riverside Funeral Home on Thursday October 24th from 6-9 for visitation. Funeral Service will follow at Melville Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 25th at 2 pm.

 Interment at Brussels Cemetery.
